EduVista Privacy Policy

EduVista (the "App") is a mobile application for students and parents, provided through the school you are enrolled with (the "School"). The App is developed and operated by Credence IT Solution ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the App uses, why, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

The App displays and processes information that your School holds in its school management system. Depending on the features your School has enabled, this may include:

• Account and identity details: student name, admission number, class, section, date of birth, gender, photograph, contact details of the student and parents/guardians, and address.
• Academic information: attendance, timetable, exam schedules, marks, report cards, subjects, homework and notices.
• Fee information: fee dues, payment history and receipts.
• Requests you submit: data-correction requests, registration details and other forms you fill in within the App.
• Device and technical data: device type, operating system version, app version and basic diagnostic information needed to keep the App working.
• Location (optional): approximate or precise location, only where a feature needs it and only after you grant permission.

2. Permissions Used

• Internet: to communicate with your School's server.
• Biometric / device lock: to let you unlock the App with your fingerprint or face. Biometric data stays on your device and is never sent to us or to the School.
• Location: used only for features that require it. You can deny or revoke this permission at any time in your device settings.

3. How We Use Information

• To show you your school records (attendance, results, fees, notices and similar).
• To let you sign in and keep your account secure.
• To process requests and forms you submit to the School.
• To maintain, troubleshoot and improve the App.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Who Controls Your Data

Student records belong to and are controlled by your School. We process them on the School's behalf to provide the App. Requests to access, correct or delete your records should be made to your School, which decides what is kept in line with applicable law and its own policies.

5. Sharing of Information

We share information only:

• with your School, which owns the data;
• with service providers that host or support the App's servers, under confidentiality obligations; and
• where required by law or to protect rights, safety or security.

6. Data Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access is restricted to authorised users. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your login credentials confidential.

7. Data Retention

Information is retained for as long as your School keeps your account active, or as needed to meet legal and school record-keeping obligations. Data stored locally on your device is removed when you sign out or uninstall the App.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for school students and their parents or guardians, and accounts are created through the School. We do not knowingly collect information from children outside of the School's enrolment process. We recommend that parents or guardians supervise use of the App by younger students.

9. Your Choices and Rights

• Ask your School to view, correct or delete your information.
• Revoke device permissions (location, biometrics) in your device settings.
• Sign out or uninstall the App at any time.

10. Third-Party Services

The App may open links or content hosted by third parties chosen by your School (for example, educational videos). Those services have their own privacy policies, which we do not control.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest revision. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
